Frequently Asked Questions
With Simplicious, I cook meals in my own kitchen from a recipe. How is this different from
a cookbook?
While the concepts are the same, the biggest differences are time and convenience. To
cook out of a cookbook, you would have to page through looking for a recipe that you like.
Then, you would have to make sure you have everything that you need to cook that recipe.
If you don’t, then you either have to make a trip to the store, or go back to the cookbook
and start all over again. We have found that people simply don’t have the time for this,
which is why too often what ends up getting served for dinner is prepackaged food.
With Simplicious, since the meals are designed to be nutritious, and
the shopping list ensures you have all the ingredients you need to
cook, what gets served is a nutritious, delicious meal that you
cooked yourself.
The difference is what actually makes it to the table.
If I spend the $125 for a year’s membership, will I end up saving money?
Most people will. There are a number of ways you will save money.
First, and most importantly, eating well has been proven to reduce
the incidence of many diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension,
stroke, osteoporosis and some cancers. Preventing any of these will
make $125 quite a bargain.
There are hard-dollar costs to be saved as well. If a family of four eats at home instead of at a restaurant just two or three fewer times a year, then they have saved money. If, because of the shopping list, you make one fewer trip to the store each month, then you’ve probably saved money as well. Finally, shopping at the store with a list will reduce impulse buying, which also saves money.
What about weekends?
Simplicious provides a meal plan for the busy Monday through Friday
work week, when time is at a premium. However, we do offer the
ability for members to add meals for the weekend. These meals, when
added, will automatically be reflected in the shopping list. So
members can use Simplicious seven days a week if they so choose.
What if I don’t like one of the suggested meals?
Simplicious allows quick and easy replacement of one meal with another.
To the right of each meal is a “Replace” button. If you click this,
then you are taken to a page where you can search for a recipe to cook
instead. Also on this page is your 10 saved favorites, so you can simply
click on a favorite recipe and it is inserted.
The new recipe is automatically put into your shopping list.
What if I am out of town that day, so I don’t need to cook?
Beside each meal is a button called “Remove.” Clicking this button
removes the meal from the week’s meal plan, and from the shopping list.
The words “No meal selected” will appear to let you know you have removed
a meal.
Do you sell to groups?
